The 2025 GSTEP Greater Accra Industry Visit offered an eye-opening experience for the region’s 15 finalist teams. Held at Ashesi University, one of Ghana’s leading science and technology institutions, the visit provided students, teachers, and STEM Coordinators with a unique opportunity to witness how innovative ideas and early-stage prototypes are developed into real-world solutions.

Throughout the day, participants toured cutting-edge innovation labs, interacted with faculty and students in engineering and ICT fields, and explored tools and technologies that fuel problem-solving across sectors.

These engagements brought fresh energy and perspective to the teams, helping them reimagine and refine their MVPs ahead of the final stage of the GSTEP Challenge.

Beyond the technical exposure, the visit emphasized core values of the GSTEP programme, mentorship, community collaboration, and hands-on experiential learning. It reinforced to participants that innovation begins with curiosity and is nurtured through exposure, access, and belief in one’s potential.
