The Youth Steering Group (YSG) is a dynamic cohort of 20 young leaders selected from across the Greater Accra, Eastern, Ashanti, and Volta Regions of Ghana. They serve as the official youth ambassadors of the Ghana Science and Tech Explorer Challenge Prize (GSTEP) for the 2026 Challenge.

Chosen for their leadership potential, curiosity, and commitment to community impact, the Youth Ambassadors play an active role in advancing the mission of GSTEP. They support the delivery of the programme by contributing to outreach, community engagement, and key events, while also amplifying the visibility of the Challenge within their respective regions.

As the voice of GSTEP among their peers, the ambassadors actively engage with teams, schools, and communities, helping to build awareness and drive participation in the Challenge.

Beyond their ambassadorial role, the ambassadors participate in structured development masterclasses and mentorship programs designed to strengthen their leadership and professional skills, and develop their personal growth, career development, and STEM skills.

Through this experience, the Youth Ambassadors are not only contributing to the success of the Challenge but are also being equipped with the tools, confidence, and knowledge to become future leaders and changemakers in their communities.
