Finalists showcase STEM inventions at the 2025 GSTEP Exhibition Ceremony
On 16th and 17th July 2025, 50 finalist teams and 7 perseverance teams showcased their STEM-powered innovations at the 2025 Ghana Science & Tech Explorer Prize Challenge.
Under the theme “STEM Education and its Role in Addressing Disparities in Educational Access and Infrastructure in Ghana”, the two-day event spotlighted the creativity and resilience of 50 finalist teams and 7 perseverance teams from the Greater Accra, Eastern, and Ashanti Regions.
Distinguished guests in attendance included Hon. Clement Apaak, Deputy Minister for Education; Dr. Munauaru Issahaque, Deputy Director General of the Ghana Education Service; and Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, former Minister for Education. The event also welcomed high-level representatives from the Ghana Education Service, the Ministry of Education, AngloGold Ashanti, Fidelity Bank, Melcom, Special Ice, Stanbic Bank, UNICEF, and other industry partners.
The exhibition on Day 1 opened with energy as students presented their prototypes—ranging from water purification systems to AI-driven safety solutions, among others—to the general public.
