15 Greater Accra GSTEP Finalists Team Pitch Their Prototype

On Monday 2nd June 2025, at the Latter Day Saint Church in Tema, the fifteen(15) finalists from the Greater Accra “Ghana Science and Tech Explorer Challenge Prize” (GSTEP) pitched their STEM-based innovations that aim at solving problems affecting human lives and the ecosystem.

The event provided a platform for young minds to present prototypes addressing pressing community issues ranging from safety, agriculture, water pollution, health. Despite their young age, these students demonstrated a mature understanding of how unresolved challenges can have long-term consequences on both human life and the environment.

Each team presented their final prototype, and the Judges were visibly impressed by the level of innovation and technical skill on display. While some projects received recommendations for further development, others were advised to revisit certain aspects of their prototypes to better align with their intended goals.

Beyond the pitching sessions, participants also engaged in entrepreneurship and career coaching workshops. These sessions aimed to equip students with the foundational knowledge needed to build successful careers and scale their innovations into viable businesses.
The technical coaches, business mentors, judges, and supporters who witnessed the brilliance and confidence of Ghana’s future innovators were filled with pride and joy.
