Eastern Region Finalist Induction Event – 15 Teams Inducted for 2025 GSTEP Challenge
The Eastern regional GSTEP 2025 Finalist Induction was held on the 12th of March 2025, at the GNAT Hall in Koforidua.
The event brought together 15 teams of finalists from various schools across the Eastern Region, along with teachers, coaches, and mentors. Key attendees included representatives from the Ghana Education Service (GES) and consortia partner organizations such as the Dreamoval Foundation, Partnership Bureau, Practical Education Network, and Shulem Lake.
The induction event was aimed at empowering the teams by providing them with essential skills and materials for the GSTEP Challenge.
The event included various activities to help the teams learn important skills for building their projects. The teams were split into groups, each focusing on different skills. In the MARCOMM 101 group, students learnt about branding, marketing and communication to help them brand and market their prototypes effectively.
The Intellectual Property Group taught the students how to trademark their ideas and take ownership of them legally. The STEMplosion group offered hands-on training on using STEM materials to create prototypes.
Representatives from the Practical Education Network provided comprehensive guidance to the students on effectively completing their Business Plans. The DreamOval Foundation team also facilitated an interactive engagement with the teachers, focusing on the essential aspects and implementation strategies outlined in the ‘Finalist Stage Teacher Guide’.
The induction ceremony has kicked off the 2025 GSTEP Challenge Finalist Stage, which will run from March to May 2025.
